WE ARE PERSONS is a collaboration between my daughter Eden, Glenn Whiting and Isabel Skinner.
The catalyst for the work was a somewhat pompous teach-yourself-English 7inch 45rpm vinyl that I stumbled across over thirty years ago. Bought somewhere…. possibly an EMAUS charity shop in Pamiers, France. It was too long ago to be precise, but in these times of confabulation I’m not so sure that it matters.
Collaging images and sounds around the themes of vanity and solipsism the film gently nudges us in the direction of self-reflection and what it means to be human during these fraught times of self-identity and self-loathing.
Sometimes somethings need to be said.
